Gamer Vocabulary 101 – newbie/newb/n00b

Today’s gamer vocabulary word is “newbie” (shortened to “newb” or “n00b”).

A newbie is someone who is new to a particular game. The shortened versions if newb or n00b (yes the zeros are intentional) are also used as an indictment on another player’s skill.

Examples:

“Hey guys, can you help me out? I’m such a newb.”

“Did you see that guy blow himself up with his own rocket? What a n00b!”
